Image
Alright, this is the first post in a series of products that I absolutely swear by! If you have dry skin or you simply want baby soft skin after the first shower then you NEED this!! So I actually bought this for the first time a couple months ago because I was out. I grabbed the first thing I saw and bought it. Little did I know that I had stumbled upon the most amazing body wash and I will never buy another body wash again. I wish I could actually have a way for you to be able to feel my skin before and after I got out of the shower because there is a very noticeable difference. All that I can do to try to describe it is to say that my skin feels so much softer than it ever has before. It's like turning back the time and unintentional abuse that I've put my skin through in my life. Imagine the top is your skin and the bottom will be how refreshed your skin is after the first use. The product is the Dove, go fresh. Nutrium Moisture with the cucumber and green t

I recently purchased a 2016 Jeep Renegade and let me just say that I am in love with this highly versatile vehicle that I know will meet all the needs that I have for years to come. I'm going to share my five favorite things about my Jeep. In my family, we name our vehicles. So, after careful consideration and even searching a few baby name pages for ideas, I decided to call him Toby. So let's get started with my list! 1.) The Back- up Camera Now this may not be a standard feature but I really enjoy the convenience of having the screen display what's behind me. I'm a petite girl and in the past, I've actually had to use the passenger seat headrest to help pull me out of my seat so I could get a good view of what's behind me while backing up. Also, I'm terrible at parallel parking. I know I'm not the only one. I think that it's a skill that you learn to get a driver's license but you lose very quickly if you don't practic

Building your own Raised Garden Bed

Image
I've had the opportunity to start a garden here at the warrior transition battalion so I wanted to share what I've learned at this point and show you guys some pictures even though I'm just getting started on this project. My goal is that you can take away knowledge and ideas to start your own gardens. It's an amazing feeling to see something that you planted grow and flourish. The Garden The first step is to prepare an area to have a garden in. If you live in an area (like I do) that doesn't have ideal soil then you can make a raised garden bed. It's a project that doesn't require amazing carpentry skills to accomplish in a fairly short time. Let me show you a few of the raised gardening beds that are being used where I live. Behind the Scenes of my Multiple Sclerosis

Image
One of the most common questions that I get asked is, what is Multiple Sclerosis (MS). So, I thought I would answer this to the best of my ability in this post. I'm going to try my best to avoid using fancy medical terms and keep it simple. The Football Player Analogy This is the way my neurologist first explained my disease to me. Imagine that the antibodies you have to fight off are like high school football players. Big and strong but not, according to the jock stereotype, very smart. They see the opposing team and recognize enemy school colors, pads and cleats. They instantly become ready to tackle their opponent into the turf. This is exactly how are antibodies work in a sense. When you receive a vaccination, it's been broken up into pieces so your antibodies learn that when they see all those pieces  together, it's time to attack the enemy. Now imagine that those jock antibodies have hit their heads just one  too  many times and instead adding each piece

Welcome to my first ever blog post! I'm so excited to be able to share my information and experiences on a wide variety of topics. My name is Kaitlyn Quinn and in May I will be 25 years old. I was born and raised in Washington state. Like most people raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, my childhood was filled outdoor adventures. I graduated from Kennewick High School in 2010 and joined the Army National Guard in 2011 as a combat medic. In 2016, I deployed to Kuwait and Iraq with the 176th Engineer Company. The highlight of my time overseas was being apart of a project to build a hospital in Iraq. I was excited to know that I had contributed to something that would allow many more lives to be saved by providing emergency care that normally meant a very long evacuation time. It was during my time in the sandbox that I noticed something odd was going on. My hands and feet were tingling constantly and the same sensation would shoot through my spine whenever I bent my n
